This past Friday, the Huronia Museum hosted its 48-Hour Film Challenge screening. Three teams participated in the challenge on the weekend of November 19, during which they had to make a movie, according to a secret list of criteria, in only two days.
Three judges chose the winners. Nate Lacroix of Kunuhd.com, a video production company based in Huronia, Alison Broverman, arts writer and host of Popcorn Panel for the National Post, and Paul Harding of PostWhatever.com.
Congratulations to our winners:

MINDMEDIAWORKS – Civic Pride
Achievement in the Field of Awesomness
Squirrel Pie – A Midland Life Crisis

Last Friday night, three teams participated in the first Huronia Museum 48-Hour Film Challenge. All three teams finished on time, but just barely!
Their challenge pack consisted of the following:
Genre – Comedy
Theme – Civic pride
Phrase – “Never Again.”
Prop – Red umbrella (included)
The teams then had 48 hours to write, film and edit their films of 10 minutes or less. If you’d like to see how they made out, come to see the screening this Friday, November 26 at the museum. Tickets are $10 at the door.
