    • Yes, the Georgian Bay Lumber Company exhibit is still on display. We don’t have an exact end date, but it should be up for a while still.

  1. The hours of operation are not “child friendly”. In order to have my elementary school aged children experience the museum, I would have to pull them from school. Seems odd..

  2. Agree with Geri above, to be closed over both weekend days seems to exclude visiting with school aged children during the school year! We have been visiting Midland for 11 years, always over a weekend, and never been able to see the museum.

    • I am sorry you feel that way. The museum has experimented with hours on weekends, and even Wednesday evenings over the past few years.

We found that there just wasn’t the traffic to allow us to be open in colder months, on weekends. We are still open Monday to Friday from 9 am until 5 pm year round.
There are also plenty of weekends that we are open, 7 days a week from May until mid-October, as well as during our many weekend events year round. Remember, we are open on PA Days as well as other school holidays. Feel free to call to verify our hours at any given time.
