2012 marks the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Huronia Museum is dedicating a special exhibit commemorating 60 years of royal memorabilia. Museum director Jamie Hunter tells us more.
48-Hour Film Challenge Winners 2011
Make it Happen Guys win Best Film for "The Dead Girl."
On Friday, November 25, 2011, the Huronia Museum hosted its second 48-Hour Film Challenge screening. The film making team “Make it Happen Guys” won Best Film for The Dead Girl. Nathan Berriault also took home the Best Performance award for his role in this film.
Team “Bl1ndin9” won the Achievement in the Field of Awesomeness award as did Team “Blinding Phoenix.”
Remember Our Veterans Luncheon – Huronia Museum Show
This week, Askennonia Senior Centre hosted its annual Remember Our Veterans luncheon. Special guest speaker Ted Barris spoke about his new book, “Breaking the Silence,” which deals with the difficulties of getting veterans to tell their stories.
