People out celebrating Canada Day in Little Lake Park this past weekend got a special treat as they passed by the Huronia Museum. To promote our Summer Jam Day Camp, visitors were given a free t-shirt that they could decorate however they liked! There were quite a few budding young artists who made some very impressive designs

This Canada Day weekend, thousands of you will no doubt be headed out to Little Lake Park to enjoy festivities in celebration of the Dominion.
But many park-goers may be surprised to learn of the park’s long and varied history. In part 1 of a two-part episode, Huronia Museum curator Jamie Hunter takes us on a tour of the history of Little Lake Park from prehistoric glaciers to modern day volleyball.

On Friday night, staff and volunteers bid farewell to Karley MacArthur who is retiring after 19 years at the Huronia Museum. She started here in 1992 working in the gift shop where she held the position of retail manager.
During a dinner in her honour, Karley was presented with a blanket and a pair of moccasins from our gift shop that she has apparently had her eye on for quite some time.
