Huronia Museum Heritage Dinner April 26

Huronia Museum Heritage Dinner

April 26th, 2008

The Board of Directors for Huronia Museum is once again holding Our Annual Heritage Dinner. This year the Dinner is hosted at the Midland Legion and catered by the Ladies Auxiliary providing a delicious meal, with raffles, door prizes, a silent auction, and fascinating local people to meet and talk to about local heritage activities and projects.

This year we have invited William Northcott and William Smith to make a presentation about the release of their new book, Midland on Georgian Bay. Bill & Bill not only share their first name, but also an abiding love for their beautiful community and its History. No doubt they will have interesting stories to tell that you won’t want to miss regarding the preparation of the book and the research that made it so fascinating.

The Heritage Dinner will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Midland Legion beginning at 5:00p.m for cocktails with dinner starting at approximately 6:30p.m. Tickets are $50 each with a $30.00 tax receipt and may be purchased at Huronia Museum. 1. This will be a wonderful event as there has not been a release of a Midland historical publication in over 30 years. Furthermore the book MIDLAND and HER PIONEERS was written in 1938-39 without an index and the new MIDLAND on GEORGIAN BAY has an index for all those difficult questions that nobody can remember and need to use the index to find what ther looking for. Of course the book will be available for sale at 60.00 including all taxes. See you there.
