“One group which attracted a lot of interest at the Guide and Brownie rally in Midland Saturday were these Indian lassies from Christian Island Reserve. Seen with their leader, Miss Lillian Hawkins (rear), the troop was formed six years ago. The Guides are known as the Blue Canary and Rose troop, while the Brownies are the “little people, fairies and gnomes”.”
