
MIDLAND, ONTARIO – Cathy Bayles, Janet Walter and Paul Lauer from RBC Dominion Securities presented a cheque from the RBC Foundation to Huronia Museum on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 to support the ongoing efforts of the museum to bring educational programs to schools in North Simcoe.
This year, Huronia Museum’s educational programming staff will be going into a local high school to deliver its new “Echoes of War” program which engages students in commemoration and recognition of our Veterans’ contribution to war efforts and shaping our nation.
Huronia Museum is mandated to educate the community about the historical development of North Simcoe communities, marine heritage, First Nations history and art history. For the past decade, Huronia Museum has been taking its educational programming to classrooms so that young people can learn about the history of the region and interact meaningfully with the museum`s expansive collection
“Huronia Museum is grateful for the support from the RBC Foundation for this important museum program. This most recent contribution will help to ensure that the museum continues to quality educational programming in classrooms in North Simcoe,” the museum’s Executive Director, Nahanni Born, noted at the cheque presentation.
