As of June 17th, we are open to the public with social distancing measures in place.
We will open every day at 9 am and close at 4 pm to allow time for a deep cleaning of the facility.
Visitor bubbles, whether one person or a safe bubble of up to 6 people as defined by the visitor, may either pre-book a visiting time or show up and wait for the next available time slot. Visitor bubbles will be admitted every 3o minutes starting at 9 am each day. Visitors are encouraged to book a time by calling the museum at 705 526 2844 or emailing us at email@example.com.
Visitor bubbles are encouraged to stay together in their unit throughout their visit at the museum and follow the directional arrows. The 30 minutes increments should allow visitors the opportunity to enjoy the museum and its exhibits at a leisurely pace without the next group of visitors pushing forward.
As recommended by the province, our outdoor village exhibit, which is immersive and does not lend itself to being sanitized, is not open at the moment.
We are not currently taking appointments for researchers to work with the collection or in our in situ library. We will have to suspend in house research until further notice. Please contact us if you have any research inquiries and we may be able to help you remotely. You can call us at 705 526 2844 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
The museum cannot accept artifact donations directly at the moment. If you have something that, you feel, would contribute to telling the story of our community’s history, please contact our Curator, Genevieve Carter, at email@example.com.
Please call the museum in advance of your visit to learn more about what steps we have taken to keep you safe in our museum. We hope to hear from you soon.
