Huronia Museum receives donation from the RBC Foundation to support outreach educational programming to local schools

Cathy Bayles from RBC Dominion Securities presented a cheque from the RBC Foundation to Huronia Museum on Monday, March 26, 2018 to support the ongoing efforts of the museum to bring educational programs to schools in North Simcoe.

 Huronia Museum is mandated to educate the community about the historical development of North Simcoe communities, marine heritage, First Nations history and art history.  For the past decade, Huronia Museum has been taking its educational programming to classrooms so that young people can learn about the history of the region and interact meaningfully with the museum`s expansive collection

 “Huronia Museum is extremely appreciative of the support received from the RBC Foundation for this integral program at the museum.  Cathy Bayles and her team at RBC Dominion Securities have been amazing supporters of the museum and its programming for many years.   This most recent contribution will help to ensure that the museum continues to quality educational programming in classrooms in North Simcoe,” the museum’s Executive Director, Nahanni Born, noted at the cheque presentation.
