March Break Staycation Camp – March 14-18, 2011

The Huronia Museum will be hosting March Break Camp from March 14 to 18, 2011.  This year’s theme is “Staycation.”  Enjoy popular vacation activities from around the world without leaving your hometown.

There will be crafts, games and activities, plus daily skating at the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre and sledding on Campbell’s Hill.

Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  The cost is $20/day.  Ages 5 to 12.

Winterfest 2011 at Huronia Museum

This weekend (February 4 & 5) is Winterfest in Midland.  The Huronia Museum will be open, free of charge! Drop on by and see all of our regular exhibits, plus our current special exhibit, Bringing Home the Valour, a collection of military medals spanning 200 years of Canadian history.  See it before it’s gone.

But that’s not all!

On Saturday, Feb. 5, the museum will be hosting the Huronia Foundation for the Arts Art Show and Sale from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  There will be literary readings, live music, baked beans and, of course, lots of art!  For more information about the art show, visit the Huronia Foundation for the Arts website, here.
