Join the four siblings of the Métis Fiddler Quartet on a musical voyage across the trade routes of the Northwestern frontier.  Clap, clog, jig and sing along with this young, award-winning group and discover the history of the Métis people in Canada through the aboriginal fiddle traditions passed down by elders from across the country.

Life Up the Shore Remembered – Bonnie Rourke

On Thursday, Huronia Museum will be hosting Life Up the Shore Remembered, a lecture by Bonnie Rourke, author of Up the Shore: The Lighthouse Years and The Sea Cadet Years on Georgian Bay (Both are available at the Museum’s gift shop.)

Bonnie Rourke, a daughter of the Bay, will discuss her personal experiences and details relating to her two books.

The event will be Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 7:00pm at Huronia Museum.

Captain’s Community Dinner hosted by Huronia Museum.  Join the captians of the tall ships visiting Midland Harbour for dinner.  Juno Award-winning musician Mike Ford will be there performing, “Flames Across the Border: The 1812 Song Cycle.”

Friday, August 23, 2013 at North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre.  6:00 PM.  Buffet dinner by ELM Catering.  Adults $20, children (6-12) $15.  5 and under FREE.
