Huronia Museum Contest Submission
It would mean the world to Huronia Museum to be able to win this prize from the McDougall Community Contest. Programming meaningful events and learning opportunities for the community has changed significantly over the past few years and we are in dire need of a new audio-visual system for our auditorium. Huronia Museum is hosting an increased number of educational lectures, workshops, and learning opportunities with students from Simcoe County and citizens of North Simcoe where we find ourselves constantly borrowing or renting equipment to meet the audio-visual needs of presenters and programmers. Having our equipment on hand would allow us to host more events without being limited by the timeframes of museum friends who loan us equipment or rentals available for particular dates. The funds saved by not having to rent equipment can further support Huronia Museum’s mandate to preserve heritage in North Simcoe.
If you feel inspired by our video or mission and would like to donate or purchase from our gift shop or memberships too support us please come into Huronia Museum or email us at huroniamuseum@gmail.com we can’t wait to chat with you.
