Heritage Dinner a Great Success

Special guest speaker Joe Martin delivers his keynote address at the Huronia Museum's Heritage Dinner.

Last Friday, the Huronia Museum held its annual Heritage Dinner fundraiser. Over 200 people were in attendance to enjoy a fabulous dinner and to hear our special guest speaker Joe Martin.

The 2011 dinner turned out to be our most successful to date! Many thanks go out to the staff and volunteers who made the event run smoothly and also to the many people who attended the dinner and showed their support for the museum.

Huronia Museum’s 18th Annual Fundriasing Dinner

Attend the 18th annual Huronia Museum fundraising dinner at the Midland Legion starting at 5.30 pm on Saturday, April 18th, 2009. Bring a friend and support the exciting topics that will be presented about this area’s fascinating history.

This year’s event features Dr. Andrew Nicholls, Associate Professor of History at Buffalo State University in Buffalo New York. Dr. Nicholls will be speaking about Samuel de Champlain and the Kirkes; Canada’s First War and its impact on the French and Hurons. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, a wonderful meal, served by the Legion’s Women’s Auxiliary and a chance to participate in the silent auction, raffles and possibly win a door prize.

The cost for this event if $50.00 per person with a $30.00 tax receipt to be issued for each ticket purchased, which supports the museum’s many important heritage activities. Tickets are available at Huronia Museum, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5 pm or contact one of our Directors for tickets. We can also accept Visa and MasterCard over the phone.
